The curators unveil Gertrude Stein and Pablo Picasso exhibition

See what the exhibition has in store for you!

Audience type All Public

Cécile Debray and Assia Quesnel reveal a little-known aspect of art history: the fertile friendship between two giants of the 20th century, Gertrude Stein and Pablo Picasso.

This meeting and their exchanges gave rise to a new artistic and literary language that was to be found in the early days of Cubism, and continued in the avant-garde art of the 20th century.

Discover how Gertrude Stein's singular language fertilised the creativity of artists such as Jaspers Johns, Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol, and revolutionised the performing arts right up to the present day.

An exhibition to discover until 28 January at the Museum!
