The Conques stained glass windows, an exceptional public commission

"To enable the kind of light the artist envisioned for the abbey church of Conques, everything had to be invented: the glass as well as the techniques for making and installing stained glass windows." Jean Dominique Fleury, who worked as the artist's interpreter, will describe the stages in this long working process. His talk will be introduced by Béatrice Salmon, then was charge of public commission projects at the French Ministry of Culture, who will present the context of this major achievement.
